
Exploring how much can be removed whilst still maintaining enough information to see the form of the line. Started with pure black ink on cartridge paper, then added more and more water until there was no ink, only water. Thinking about what information I'm noticing first in each image as the saturation of ink lessens. The darker images show brushstrokes, harsh outlines and starker contrast between itself and the background. As they get lighter, I'm paying more attention to the texture of the paper, the ripples the wet paper creates, the edges of the paper.
