Referenced Martin Creed when talking about the purpose and type of work I'm aiming to create. Creating pieces that satisfy a need or a desire - organising, catagorising satisfies my need for order. My need/desire for space is a response to Mark Rothko's work.

We discussed the difference between a simple process and a simple outcome. A piece could be chaotically made but the result in exudes simplicity. Started me thinking about the way I work. Perhaps the challenge for me is learning to manage the chaos differently, being uncomfortable sometimes, about how the process feels in order to produce something with clarity later.
